OK, so I’m going to start from the beginning here and see if any of you have any solution to this problem I’m currently having ? I bought this Yamaha 79 QT50 about 3-4 weeks ago.It runs strong, but the headlight wasn’t working. I bought a new headlight from a dealer and it worked fine for about 30 minutes and burnt out before I realized that the motor was powering it and not the actual battery. I bought a new 6V battery had it filled and charged at a local scooter shop and hooked it back up to the moped. I started her up today and ran it for a bit, and noticed that all of the lights seem to be working(minus the burnt out headlight) but the turn signals are not flashing when they come on (maybe they don’t flash on this particular model?) and as far as I can tell the rear taillight is not getting brighter and dimmer like before. I checked the fuse and it is in working order, but don’t know If maybe replacing one of those black boxes may fix the turn signals lack of flashing. I basically don’t want to put another headlight on and have it burnout with the quickness, so I guess my question is is there anyway to make sure my QT50 is running off the battery and not the motor, and does anyone know about the turn signals problem I’m having ? I don’t want to cause anymore damage to the electrical end, but would like to have it running as to true to original form as possible. The electrical end if this scooter looks pretty simple, but I’m new to this, so any constructive info would be much appreciated.
