ZA50 Tran. Experienced Opinions and Help Please?

I recently picked up a newport II. . . the za50 on the bike is in really nice shape and I was hoping to use it for a project bike, but when I went to change the trans fluid the ATF filler plug broke in to a few pieces when removed and at least one decent size chunk of it made it down into the case. . . i’ve flushed trans fluid through, but I know there are still pieces in there. . . if this was an E50 i’d just crack the case and pull it out, but i don’t have the tools or know-how for the za50. . . any expert opinions? does the case need to be cracked? can i just let em float around in there? other ideas? thanks.
