I’m not an expert by any means but I think you have a fuel flow problem. I would remove the petcock and make sure there is not junk in it. Make sure the vents in your gas cap are clear. Then check the float and float needle valve in your carb to make sure they are not sticking. I had a bunch of grass (don’t ask) jamming up my petcock at one point and had similar things happening.
