Hi guys. Just joining and glad i found this resource. I just got my QT50 and i love it!!! Only drawback is i feel at like im not getting her to give me what she’s got. When i first got the bike the guy told me to keep the petcock level up! He was a “mechanic” so i thought so i left it there. Kept having issues with it turning off during big stretches of riding. Anyways long story short i fig’d out that was the reserve. SO i keep the petcock down and it never turns off. The problem is, During my strolls with the petcock in the wrong spot i was able to get the ped up to maybe 27 – 28. All the while i;ve felt this hesitation. My speed will decrease a few miles per hour, then all a sudden a kick in and ill gain a few. I don’t think this is normal. IT’s not a consistent hesitation/strain so I know somethings not right. Also, after getting the petcock situation squared away i really can’t get it over 24 or so now. But am still having that same speed up/slow down. Any help is greatly appreciated!
