I had a lot of rust on my chrome. Now my chrome is bright and shiny. How did I do it?
Maybe you have a better technique, if you do. Post it. I’d love to hear it. Here’s what I did.
I went to an auto parts store and bought steel wool and NEVR DULL. NEVR DULL is this weird product… well it was weird to me. It is like cotton… but it is dipped in some liquid stuff. Some rust solvent. I started off rubbing this soft fluff on my rust and it was really annoying.
Then I took a little bit of it and put it on top of a little steel wool. The combo works great. It works like a charm. Little elbow grease and your ready to shine.
When the stuff dries it’ll look white, then you wipe the white film or whatever off with your rag and it shines baby shines.
Oh, and Carb cleaner is such a great tool. Spray all over to clean up areas. It is great stuff. A lot of people use kerosine (apparently). I like carb cleaner because it has the pressure behind it.
Oh and if any of that is super wrong, let me know… but it worked for me.
