Just got it running!

Hey guys!

I was pretty active on the board a few days ago. I have never worked on autos before, never owned a moped or anything. After reading up on some stuff here at moped army I found a great deal and went for it. Drove to mass and back and got myself two mopeds.

1974 Puch and 1978 Puch. Neither worked. Together I probably had 1.5 bikes. But I was excited.

Still am.

Anyway. Today I finally got that thing running. It took a lot of work and a lot of carb cleaner, but it works! I get new tires tomorrow and I’m really excited.

It’s still rusty, the brakes are shitty, there is rust here and there (i’ve cleaned a lot of it up), some rust in the tank (but not too bad).

I’ve been taking the parts from whichever bike has it better. Damn, rebuilding mopeds is so much fun! The guy sold it to me and tried to talk me out of buying it. I can’t wait to take a picture of it after I’m done with it and send it to him.
