i finally got around to taking the thing apart. both the leaf spring (lower) and starting plate ball bearing were bad. i think this could be a common problem for any minarelli. Very bad design. the little ball in the middle of the starter plate probably gets worn down in an instant if the clutch lever is too tight. I’m buying 2 of each. i hope this thread helps some other minarelli rider. thank you all.
