Whats easier to work with making the gasket? Its pretty small to be cutting out. What have you guys used in the past? Cork, silicon.

Pet cock is OK, just didnt turn it off. Stopped leaking once turned off and when I turned it on again it didnt leak at all. Very intermentent which leads to the float sticking.
