Sachs compression release

I’m trying to repair a Sachs engine on a neighbor’s Foxi. The neighbor’s kids wired the compression release valve permanently closed. I want to get it working again. The cable has the small hinged device to connect to the top of the compression release valve, but there must be a part to hold the stem of the release valve to that hinged cable device. The release valve stem has notches in two sides, and the hinged device on the cable has a hole for something that must hook in those notches. Can anyone tell me what it looks like or provide a picture? Better still, can I buy one somewhere? Dave Gibbons
