Fuel filter’s clean – carb is getting plenty of fuel – and of COURSE the petcock’s open. If this is classic four-stroking, isn’t a lack of fuel the opposite of the problem anyway?
I checked out the muffler and exhaust pipe. The port’s very clean – no oily gunk inside – same with the muffler. I can blow air through the muffler and exhaust pipe quite easily.
Took apart the air box – filter is dry and clean, and the intake holes aren’t blocked.
Took the ped out for a ride yesterday and once again, after a few miles I started losing power at full throttle. I pulled over and removed the air filter, but I STILL had the same problem afterwards.
I’m running with a stock jet – no mods to any part of the engine. This is stumping me. Riding around town, stoplight to stoplight is usually fine, but once I go full throttle on a straightaway for a few hundred yards, this problem always comes up.
Heat is an exacerbating condition. I can run at a full 25mph for the first few minutes of a ride, no problems, but after 10 minutes, doing so causes these problems.
