Pop pop pop noise

So i went on a pretty lengthy run on the ped today. the longest I have road on her at one time maybe 20 miles? so when I started it up again this evening there was a significantly louder noise coming from the engine. It sounded like random POP POP POPs but the moped still seems to be running well just lags a little bit more up hills. It seems to be coming from the Black circular portion of the engine with the PUCH symbol on it which sits behind the box where the spark plug goes into. This is a Puch Maxi E50 just to tell yah. any theories? is this an ok noise? Just makes it sound like a harley is all i can tell
