I revived a Za50 thats been sitting for a great number of years. the bearings are fine, the tranny seal isnt blown…but first gear slips.

I drained the tranny fluid and precious little came out before i test drove it.

When i filled it up again with atf, and took it for a spin, it still slips when going up a big hill. Going on a flat or downhill, its just fine and dandy.

Is there any way this could be from sitting and that this will get better if i keep riding it, or is this, as i suspect , the bitter end?

Sugggestions?
