Greasing them forks!

I’ve checked the Wiki and google but couldn’t find what I needed.

If I want to take my fork off and fully clean/degrease what’s the best way to go about it? Products to use?

And then what type of grease would be best to put back on? There a good generic one to use or is it specific? Any suggestions would be great!
