I found the guide, but there’s nothing there. Like, when I search for it, it comes up, and there are words. But when I click on it—nothing. That’s trippy.

It occurred to me to ask whether you’ve tried the thumb test, like you put your thumb over the spark plug hole and see if the compression can blast your thumb off. I have no idea how you would do that on an Express, but I also know nothing about Expresses. It’s not going to give you any kind of accurate gauge, but at least if the compression seems really weak you’ll have a lead in The Mystery of the Broken Express until you get the compression tester and can find out for sure. Don’t lose hope yet! The Express will run again! And if it doesn’t, we can just take all three of them down to Potter’s Lake (since it’s closer than Clinton Lake) and decide whether we want to try sacrificial drowning, ritual bathing, or baptism. :)
I’m beginning to think that my mind might be overly susceptible to superstition.
