i’m pretty sure that enough of the port is left for me to be extremely exact. i think that i am going to try to jb weld it, because if it doesn’t work out as precisely as i hoped, it is not like the case wasn’t already ruined. there is no harm in trying.

plus, it will give me something to do while i wait for a flywheel puller to take apart the si. i’ll post pics when the jb welding is complete.

[off topic: i just learned the hard way that the metal fins on the si’s flywheel cover are pretty sharp. i was trying to turn the flywheel cover a tiny bit and it sprung forward, cutting deep into my fingernail/finger. ouch!]
