Murray Puch parts

So my 1980 Murray Puch needs new brake cables and new tires, and the headlamp stopped working.

My local moped shop says parts are impossible to find and that Puch parts don’t directly cross over.

Any advice on how to find parts? Other than that, the moped beautifully runs.
