Tight motor???

Hi,
I just rebuilt my ze50 puch engine. I haven’t put the top end on yet, because the motor turns over very hard. After assembling the entire motor I turned the crank and it was very hard (like it had good compression) and gritty. I started to take it back apart and after removing all of the bolts from the left side case, I turned it over again and it was free. Does anyone know what the torque is supposed to be on these bolts? Originally I set them to 8 pounds, I can’t see going any softer than that???

I did check all of the parts, and nothing is missing.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,
Jon
