general maintenance

i was reading the maintenance schedule for my express at 2000miles. is that high for mileage? anyway, some things it said to do i could use advice on as i am pretty new to the whole bit. decarbonizing the cylinder head and exhaust is one. any suggestions? what about ‘seafoam’? and another is changing the transmission oil. what oil would i use and is the oil from the tank used for lubing all that stuff?
