Ok, so here’s the deal:

I bought an A35 a while ago and found that the tranny seal behind the clutches was torn to shit.
So I replaced that and it worked great for about a month of 80+ miles a week rides
Then all of a sudden on my way home one day it started pouring out that thick smelly white smoke(tranny leak for sure) so I checked and sure enough the seal had been backed out and torn to shit by the gears.

Now I replaced it and took a look and can’t figure out why this is happening! the washer is there behind the clutch gears to keep spacing and I pressed the seal in as hard as I possibly could without damaging it.

maybe the first time I just didn’t put it in great the first time. and now it won’t happen again. but since I got the engine with the seal torn up and it happened again it makes me think something is wrong.

has anyone else had this problem?

ugh tomos’.
