The way your choke is designed to work is this.When you press down on your choke lever it should lock in place. After a kick or to it should begin to run but be a little on the rough side,at that point Crank the throttle wide open that will release the lock on the choke tab and the lever should just pop up.If that isn’t happening then you’ve got some carb tweeking to do.Try the choke lock down and snap back up with the bike not running first.If you find it satisfactory then proceed as directe. Eventuall you’ll find that sweet spot of ho0w much choke on and when to snap it open and throttle away and warm up..enjoy…David
