Jet Compatibility

Yo,

I just recieved a #52 Jet for my Batavus (Encarwi original carb). I’m bumping down from #54 to #52 so I can stop four stroking on the very top end.

Question:
My #52 replacement jet from Moped Junkyard is about 1/8” long and the original jet is about 1/2” long. The bike seems to run fine and the four stroking has stopped but its a little harder to start and doesn’t idle as smooth even after adjustment. Is this normal to have a replacement jet that is so much shorter? Mo Junk has never sent me anything incorrect before.
