hey hey hey,

spending a few hours a day and doing some laps around the block as i try and get these bikes in top shape.
questions, the batavus accelerates up to about 20 then it feels like it downshift, there is a noticeable drop in throttle when i have it at full. i notice a small exhaust leak at the head, bad gasket, new one on order…. could that cause this prob or should i tweak elsewhere? also, i’ve cleaned the carb a few time do to VERY rusty tank but, this time i removed the intake tube to the engine and it was filthy, i believe those are the reeds? am i right? how best do i clean them?
is there an auto store bulb that will replace the brake light? as i’ve ordered from moped junkyard a few time alreaddy this week and was hoping to not have to pay shipping again if there’s a local solution… ?

Moby, is there another simple way to pull the spark plug from a moby? as the angle of the engine wont allow the plug socket to fit? i think i’m going to have to rewire since no light work on the bike, are the bulb for the moby available at local stores, anyone know?

off that topic, the lowes near me has nice AGGRE-TEST chain #41 10 feet on the clearnce rack for $3.50 down from like $40…. does anyone need this? will this work as a drive chain on these. i
i’ll grab some if anyone needs it, but i think there is only 3 or 4 packs left…

talk to you all soon.

oh yeah, these both need new tire’s to be inspected here, are these available at bike stores cheeper then online?
