you are correct. thats the kill switch wire. if its connected. then you can kill the bike with the kill switch. if its disconnected, the kill switch does nothing. they say the kill switch can cause problems, so leave it disconnected. ive never come across that, but i leave it dosconnected anyways. nice diagram ima use it.
