Don’t take this the wrong way, b/c I’m not trying to be a dick.

If you are afraid that working on your bike will just break shit, then you should probably sell the hobbit and go buy a new 4 stroke honda scooter. For real.

Mopeds are not reliable transportation that you never have to wrench on. You will do lots of wrenching and lots of buying of parts. That’s just the way it is. If you are afraid to put any money into it, then you are going to have a slow bike that when it breaks, sits in the corner of the yard until you sell it to some kid who will put $300 into it and make it scream.
