it was polinid on my magnum but i took it off and swapped on a 1 speed per all the horror stories. it collects dust right now till i can pay to have devin rebuild it for kitted riding. it did ride great however i just chickened out. As far as the cable IDK i unatached it at the handle bars and left it hanging but there might be a couple pieces you got to buy but it cant be too hard to hook up
