when you have the exhaust off just look in the exhaust port with a flashlight. you should be able to see if the hole is all carboned up.
it’s turns into an oval hole when it gets in by the piston.
if it’s not too bad you can scrape it out with a screwdriver without taking the cylinder off.
just be sure to turn the engine over by hand til the piston covers the port hole, that will stop crud from falling inside.
if you should take the cylinder off, be very careful when you put it back together…do not over torque those engine studs, they break pretty easy. torque to 11ft.lb(15Nm)

in the future, most of the gaskets on these bikes can be made pretty easy with some material from an auto parts store and an exacto knife.
