Actually, a tire often ‘pops’ in a small way when you are inflating and as the bead fits itself suddenly into its seat on the rim – ‘pop’ ‘pluff’ ‘pluf’ or some such sound. Baby powder makes this job easier .. getting it correctly round is important, and this can be a job instead of a pleasure.
