all they do is make or break contact?... isnt that a pretty important job? i feel like if theyre that gross then they could be opening and closing inconsistently… i dunno im hoping its the points because itd be an easy fix, but im willing to accept it if its not them after tommorow.

i always hear about that test but it doesnt really work in my case… because every time i need to use it, my bike doesnt run. so if it cant idle, i cant run the test… kind of defeats the purpose. i can barely start the thing, and when it does start i need to be holding it at WOT… its too much of a balancing act to be keeping it running, spraying carb clean in just the right spot, and listening for changes in RPMS. ill see if i can try it anyways.
