first just trye scraping it out. use a really long flathead screwdriver, or a long dowel, or even a coat hanger. you will be amazed at how much carbon builds up. after you scrape, turn it on its end and bang it with a mallet from time to time to empty lose debris. a nicely scraped out exhaust makes a HUGE difference.
