No need to take the variator cover off for Brake cleaner cleaning. Just use the brake cleaner with a stra and aim inbetween the slots. Be sure to blow out with compressed air. Best way to re-grease is to take the variator nut off, and take out the grease fitting under it. It’s a 6mm socket for the grease fitting. Then take your grease gun with a pointy nozzle attachment and shoot grease directly in. Replace your grease fitting and variator nut. Done.
