Pollini kit/compression/grande

so i just hooked up my pollini kit (65cc) and i couldn’t get my compression cable hooked back together properly but i was pulling on it with a rope and i got it started once but it was really hard, it ran for about 30 seconds and finally started to rev but then it died and i couldn’t get started again. any ideas?
