Re: 78 NC50 not starting

Is it firing at all? Do you have a good strong blue spark? If you try to start several times with choke on, the plug should be getting wet with fuel. If the plug gets to wet it is flooded and will not start, but at least this shows it is getting fuel. If you put a little gas down the spark plug hole you can see if it starts that way. If it is getting good fuel/air mix and it has a good spark then the problem is likely timing.
