In an effort to keep the list of stupid things I’ve done growing, I left my moped sitting under the deck out back (generally bone dry under there, rain or no) with its manifold off and a clean paper towel in the intake too keep crud from getting in while I cleaned the carb. Later that day we had a hell of a rain storm and the ped got soaked leaving about 1 – 2 cups of water in the engine. I discovered this when I went to start it up and checked the plug out only to be surprised by jets of water shooting out the cylinder head ::frowns:: I go the cylinder dried out and oiled back up easy enough, but I’m a little reluctant to crack open the case to dry it out. How ocd do I need to be about this, is even a little moisture back there too much, or will it take care of itself as it heats up?
