when its idleing is the rear wheel always engaged… IE the variator is always spining? If the variator it doesnt slow and stop at idle there is something screwy with your clutch. So that when you hit the rear break you are stopping the engine. In the simplest form your idle may just be set too high so the engine isnt slowing down enough to let your clutch disengage. If thats not it you need to look at your clutch… I havent had to do that yet so I can’t really help beyond that.
