78 peugeot wiring

I have almost restored my 78 peugeot 103. But just noticed a big black wire hanging down from the back of the magnetto. It seems like it has a female plug on the end. All the other wires seem to be intact and are all plugged into something or each other. I can not figure out where this wire should go. And what does it do? The manuel is not helpful.
