that “magneto” is the coil. first test the coil for continuity, in fact test everything from the sparkplug on back for continuity. with the spark plug in the cap, touch the end of the electrode (not the L shaped end you adjust the gap with) with one lead from a multi-meter and the other lead to the engine, you should get something like 10,000 ohms, or whatever. If there is no continuity work your way back. Are all of the switches on the handle bars intact? how about the “ignition” switch on the back of the headlight? All of the colred wires in the wiring harness should connect to the other wires of the same color.
