Just two short questions before I continue to work on the ped:

1. In one old post you say:”make sure that there is a ring seal between the air cleaner base and the top of the carburetor air horn.”. This is only to make sure that cleaned air will go in the carb or there is other purpose of the seal? I’m missing it, that’s why I’m asking. :)
2. When I replace the cylinder head gasket, should I oil it first (the gasket) or put a little bit of grease on it or on the head? Or just put it dry?

I’ll will keep you informed about the working progress. I don’t have to much time during the weekday, but I’m stealing every free minute to do sth.
