NC50 dammit! blew another headlight.

so, i charged my battery, tested it, tailight, turn signals, horn all great, so im like, alright time to install the new headlight, i get it in, start it up, and maybe 5 seconds in the new headlight blows out. what do i do??? do i need to check something else on the bike?

also, it seems like only one of the filaments is burnt out, yet i cant get either the hi or lo beam to work again….
