Hey Linda,

Thanks so much for all of that great feedback. You are really helping me out here.

I would have responded sooner but (among other things) I drove down to Chelmsford, MA and picked those two bikes that were available today.

1974 and 1978 Puch Newports. The 1978 is better off than the 1974 is but they both need lots of work. I’m excite to learn how all of this works and get (one of these) working and ‘pimped out to the max’.

I’ve checked those links you listed and I’ll be referring to them often I’m sure. The thing I want to get my hands on now is a Manual. Something that lays out every piece and its function.
