probably a long-shot, but…

ok i’m trying to build a theme bike; a few of you may know my post awhile ago about a steam-punk theme bike, ok so i can’t go steam without it going slower than molasses in winter, so i’m just gonna go with a Victorian era theme bike (late 1800’s early 1900’s) i already have a seat that matches the safety bikes of the time and am trying to get a fork triple tree on another thread here…

this time i’m looking for old lamps… i mean REALLY old, google the words: solar badger carbide lamp to see what i mean, that’s my ideal front light for this thing, and a small carriage lamp for the brake light, my problem is this…

e-bay people think their junk is worth gold, i’m not paying 120.00 for a rusted to hell (full of holes) lantern even if it’s actually dated 1889… and the ones that go for half decent prices are overseas so it’ll cost another 60 bux or more to ship the damned thing…

i’m just trying for reasonable pricing here… i understand that i’ll most likely be paying upwards of 60 bux for a fair shape (dented/missing parts/etc.)and then another 20 bux or more shipping, but i’m ok with that, since i want to convert it to electric, i don’t need a perfect one…

sorry for the ranting and the length of this post.
