First off, I love Make magazine.

Anyways, I’ve been wanting to do this for years, finally the technology has become commonplace enough for DIY’ers. Unfortunately, a little too late to help some of you out there with stolen mopeds. But at around $60 <>the cost of a prepaid cell phone you can lojack your machine, cackle with glee in front of your computer as you coordinate police/vigilante efforts, and get your moped back later that day. You can run, but you can’t hide

Couple of foreseeable problems:
1. Hiding the unit on/in your bike without effecting reception.
2. Keeping the phone charged. With a moped w’ a battery this would be not bad at all, with most AC bikes, it would involve a bit more periphery.
