CLR, available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. It will remove light rust, and it won’t damage chrome or paint. But, if there is rust, then the chrome or paint is already damaged. I used it to remove rust from the chrome parts on my Puch, and now instead of brown spots, I have black spots, where the rust had already eaten through the chrome. Peace, Jerry.
