oh that’s nothing. i had a couple of mopeds stolen from me. a week or so later, they were spotted by a friend of mine on the other side of town. so i told the cops where, and they went and got them and delivered them to the pound. they wouldn’t deliver them to my house (closer) and they wouldn’t let me pick them up from the pound that night because “the pound was closed.” they also wouldn’t let me pick up the peds myself. then, the next day, when we go to get them from the pound, they charge $50 per moped for towing, and $30 per moped for storage – two days’ storage at $15 per day. incidentally, storage consisted of them sitting outside in a pen uncovered, and it rained all night. total charges, $160. time in pound, less than 12 hours. thank you, jersey city police department!
