Restore or part it out? Motron Sprint w/Minarelli

I just picked up this 1978 Motron Sprint with a Minarelli/Motori engine. I’m debating whether or not I should try to derust it and get it running good or sell this engine. I figure I should at least clean the carb and replace the gas and see if I can get it to run but man thats a lot of evaporust to get this whole thing clean. But this is kinda rare right?
