Tomos speedometers can be off as much as 7 mph (worst I’ve seen) They always read a lot faster than you are really going. My Sprint doesn’t currently have a speedometer on it, I removed the dash, light, and fairing so I could install an old style CEV round headlight on it, then it occured to me that I don’t really need a speedometer, especialy an inaccurate one. Check eBay for a yellow Garmin eTrex, a lot of people bought those ($99 new), then decided they wanted more, so they bought a more expensive one. The yellow ones are fine for determining speed, and can usually be found cheap on eBay.
