I agree with you, but both my running mopeds are variated, so no trans oil! My Moby has a chrome lined cylender, and my Hobbit well it is a honda…enough said, when I owned cars/trucks and I have owned plenty I used mobil 1 synthetic chanced it at 5.00 mile intervals. used synthetic gear oil as well. Oops i meant at 5,000 mile intervals. I have never had the pleasure of owning a brand new car/truck but I believe the days of the “break in period” are over, I would use dino oil for the first 10,000 miles but synthetic after that, as an example my father bought a brand new toyota land cruiser in 1989, first 5,000 on reg oil the rest on full synthetic, he sold it with over 200,000 miles on it running like new. I know they guy that bought it and it has almost 400,000 on it now and uses a quart every 3,000 miles….not bad for an old truck. Original engine and trans! Now granted my Father is a stickler for maitenence (was a flight engineer in the airforce) but that truck show no wear in the engine at almost 400,000 miles! Mobil 1 rocks in my book!
