Any well built engine is broken in, or as I prefer to call it, run in, within the first 50 miles. Chinese motors break down, not in. Most manufacturers say about 300 miles, but this was written by lawyers, who believe that if anything is going to break and cause you to crash, it will happen in the first 300 miles, and they would rather you be going slow if something like that happens. The first thing I did with my Sprint was make several full throttle runs to top speed, let it cool down a bit, then did it again, to seat the rings. I then rode it around, varying the throttle, for about 10 miles, then stopped to let it cool, then did this 3 more times, and considered it broken in. Compression is normal, and it runs great. Even if you want to follow the manufacturers long drawn out process, get in sever full throttle runs to begin with, to seat the rings, then you can ride as slow as you want to. If you let the cylinder walls glaze before the rings seat, they never will, and you will always have a low compression low powered motor.
