What to do

So i have a dilemma, and i need some advise. I recently ordered a 70cc parma kit for an a35 powered project i have going on. But for the life of me i cant get the engine back together. I split the case to clean some metal shaving out, and got it all back together except cant get the clutch cover back on, everything just isnt lineing up ( i know it sounds retarded). So now im thinking of scraping the project and using the 70 cc parma kit and tomos cdi and putting it all on my e50. Is this just a waste of time, should i keep working on the tomos?? Thanks for any advise!!!
