In addition to several mopeds, I also ride a scooter, a Genuine Honda Metropolitan. No way would it keep up with a kitted moped, but it is great for a grocery getter, parts getter, and just general around town transportation. It will do 40, which means it can be ridden with traffic. all my vintage mopeds are stock. My Sprint should outrun this scooter when I’m done with it, but doesn’t have the storage capacity, or turn signals. The Met also has a super loud horn. It may be a scooter, but it is neither Chinese junk nor a snobby Vespa.
