Savas and Gazelles are 2 totally different tires. Savas are soft, and don’t have much tread grooves, which means they stick well on dry surfaces, but they wear fast, and are easily punctured. They also have VERY flexible sidewalls, which give you a feeling like they are about half flat, unless you overinflate them by at least 5 psi. They are very easy to get on and off the rim, so easy that it is possible to do it without tools. The Gazelles are exactly the opposite, and are my kind of tire. They have a lot of tread, are made of much harder rubber, which means they don’t have as much traction, but last forever, are much harder to puncture, work on wet roads better than Savas, and have a very stiff sidewall, which gives a real secure ride. They don’t squirm around like the Savas. They are difficult to install, I had to use Ru-Glyde tire mounting lubricant to get them on. I just wish they made them to fit Tomos, then my Sprint would be perfect.
